Notes on TREDWELL'S CASTLE ON LLYN EIDDWEN, Trefenter, Ceredigion 2014
Tredwell's or Tudwal's castle remains on the island of Eiddwen lake. No medieval castle but merely (?) a folly built late eighteen hundreds. It had rained recently and I had a long walk ahead of me and didn't fancy the risk of walking across and losing my wellington boots in the mud, so an image taken on the safety of the bank sufficed.

By Michelle: I just love going through your photos, after having a rough childhood my children and I seeking refuge ended up here in llangwyrfon, I now believe that I was supposed to end up here, some dont like the isolation but as you walk along the mountains it's like nothing I've ever seen just take a look at the miles and miles of boundary walls that have been built, it would have taken a great deal of time and people I feel that this was once a really tight community even, they fought for what was theres, apparently during the fight with the "little English man" a thousand men and women turned up in half an hour before carrying the English man and even the bricks if his castle away this little village and its history has restored my faith in humanity such a shame we never followed in example and money and greed lead the way I have a lovely picture of the castle and some of the other ruins around :)
