ORDERING PHOTOGRAPHS
All photographs are photographed using a Wista or Ebony 5x4 inch field camera (unless otherwise stated) and are hand printed using traditional photographic 'silver gelatin' paper. All the photographs are signed, titled and dated and come complete with an information sheet on the house.
It is almost impossible to load, take, develop and print a photograph without the odd bit of dust. No matter how careful I am, or indeed any photographer, dust is and always has been a small but irritable problem. A long time ago I would blow/wipe do everything possible to make sure my negatives were as free as dust as possible. It was a losing battle. These days I accept that there will be, sometimes not always, the odd speck on the negative. Most times these little imperfections are lost within the business of information in an image but occasionally they may be in a light part of the sky. I have grown to accept this dust as all part of the process. Nobody who has ever purchased a photograph of mine has ever complained or even mentioned a dust spot but I thought I should pre-empty any such issues. Thank you, Paul White (July 2020)

A 5x4 inch negative. The larger negative size means it needs less enlargement and therefore the grain structure is less magnified hence a better quality image.

Do you offer discount on multiple orders?

Do you accept orders from abroad?
Yes, please email with your request. Shipping and insurance must however be paid.
Shipping to the EU (only mounted photograph, no framed works)
£9.50 for the first three photographs thereafter add £1 per additional photograph.
Shipping to the 'Rest of the World' (only mounted photograph, no framed works) £18.00 for the first three photographs thereafter add £1 per additional photograph.

All my work is processed using Ilford film & paper and Kentmere paper.

Colour images are not available to purchase. Some of the older colour images were taken on a very cheap 35mm compact camera - the resolution is not great - and colour images taken from 2006 were shot on a digital compact camera. Again, although much improved, they will not withstand much enlargement. I therefore do not offer colour photographs for sale. The black and white images, although perhaps not necessarily apparent on the screen, will enlarge without problem to 20x16inch prints. I will, when requested, also enclose small colour snapshots of any of the black and white photographs ordered. All black and white photographs were taken on a 5x4inch field camera unless otherwise stated. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.
