This was once the gamekeepers cottage on the Glanusk estate. Now totally ruined. It would seem to have been a typical Welsh cottage with an extension bolted onto one gable end which then became the main entrance.

By John Gibbs: I don't think there is reason to think that Danywern was a gamekeeper's house. It was the farmhouse for Danywern Farm. There was a milking parlour just across the yard. By William Gibbs: This has now been reformed into three artists studios around the cleared ruin and which you can visit by appointment
