By Nerys Evans: This shop was run by my great great Uncle Dafydd Thomas in the 30s, 40s and 50s. My mother his great niece used to tell me about visiting the shop when she lived opposite in Gwynfryn. His parents and his sister lived in Frondeg which is the house behind the Coop. I think it may have closed in the 60s. It was closed when I visited with my parents in the 70s and 80s.
