Empty for at least twenty years and considering these two small cottages sit right on the roadside are basically untouched by vandals. The roof of one has begun to fall into disrepair, again surprising at the resisitance thus far of these small workers cottages since they stand in forestry and the constant attack from branches blwoing in the wind.
Inside the usual array of mess, signs of former occupants, TV licence reminders, bottles of dubious liquids, chairs with springs rusting therein. All dark, damp and dingy.

I came across this article and wanted to let you know that I was the last occupant in no 1 smiths cottage. With my boyfriend at the time. We left in 1991.
I'd love to know what's happening with the cottage s,. Who now owns them etc. It was a Mr Jones all those years ago.
